about chroma studio

We create sculptural metal artwork that blends contemporary design with organic forms, crafting pieces that transform spaces with texture, movement, and artistry.

Chroma Studio, founded by metal artist Kate Gausche, is a creative space dedicated to crafting custom metal sculptures, wall art, and signage. Each piece is a fusion of precision and artistry—where industrial techniques meet organic, flowing forms.

With a background in digital design and fabrication, Kate transitioned from graphic arts to metalwork, drawn to the hands-on nature of welding, bending, and shaping raw materials. Using a combination of computer-controlled plasma cutting and traditional metalworking techniques, she transforms sheets of aluminum and steel into dynamic, sculptural compositions.

Much of Chroma Studio’s work is commission-based, designed in collaboration with clients to create striking, site-specific installations for homes, businesses, and public spaces. Inspired by the natural world—coral reefs, wind-swept landscapes, and intricate organic patterns—Kate’s sculptures play with texture, depth, and movement, often incorporating unexpected material contrasts like glass, wood, and patinated metal.

Chroma Studio operates by appointment only, allowing for a dedicated and personal approach to every project. If you’re interested in commissioning a custom piece or learning more about the process, reach out. Let’s start a conversation!

Will my outdoor sculpture change over time?
Some metal finishes, like raw steel or copper, naturally develop a patina over time. If you prefer a finish that remains consistent, we offer weather-resistant coatings and powder-coating options.
