Hard to believe it’s been a year since the storms.

Hard to believe it’s been a year since the storms. Our community is still rebuilding, and I’ve seen firsthand how much artwork can help bring spaces back to life. While art may not be the first thing on everyone’s mind during recovery, I’ve been reflecting on the past year and wanted to share something that means a lot to me. Every single installation we placed before the storms, from sculptures to signage, withstood the water and wind and is still standing. Of course, no artwork can ever be guaranteed “hurricane proof,” but I take pride in knowing that the care and craftsmanship that goes into each piece helped them endure alongside the people and community they were created for.

They frame the garden perfectly and give the patio a sculptural, organic feel. This 30’ wide installation, “Playful Shoal”, was created for one of my favorite couples, transforming a blank wall into a vibrant ocean scene. The design features a sculptural sea turtle paired with a flowing school of fish in our shared favorite shade of teal, anchored by a coral form. Together, they bring a playful pop of tropical life to the home’s beachy architecture. 🪸🐠
